London: The Strand Magazine, 1926, 1927. [Literature] FIRST EDITIONS. Two volumes. Octavos (24 x 28cm), pp.666; pp.630. Consecutive bi-annuals uniformly bound in green cloth lettered in gilt to spine. Black and white illustrations throughout (1927 edition has some coloured illustrations and title pages), double columns. All edges speckled red. Toning to pages and edges, light spotting to endpapers, rolling to spine, small chip to cloth on bottom of spine, bumping to edges. Very good. Very good. Two, rare, consecutive volumes of the Stand Magazine. Across both volumes, there are six Sherlock Holmes cases: The Adventure of the Three Gables, The Adventure of the Blanched Soldier, The Adventure of the Lion's Mane, The Adventure of the Retired Colourman, The Adventure of the Veiled Lodger, The Adventure of Shoscombe Old Place.
