Chinese Poetry Paper by the Master of the Ten Bamboo Hall. First edition, with a loosely inserted presentation note from Tschichold to the American book designer Thomas Maitland Cleland (1880-1964). As a master typographer, Tschichold had a strong interest in Chinese aesthetics. His note reads, "T. M. Cleland, in admiration of his work, from Jan Tschichold. Basle, Switzerland, Oct. 21, 1950."
