The body of this pamphlet is an attack on Jefferson for his policy of removing Federalists from office after his inauguration, by the New York Federalist, William Coleman, using the pseudonym "Lucius Junius Brutus." he appendix contains an early printing of Jefferson's inaugural (in which he promised a cessation of party enmity), the so-called New Haven Remonstrance, a letter from New Haven merchants protesting a political appointment to the Customs office in New Haven, and Jefferson's reply to them, dated July 12, 1801. Finally, there is a list of removed officials. This pamphlet has also been attributed to William Cranch.
