Johannesburg: Constantia, 1950. First edition. Hardcover. Elisabeth Eybers 1915-2007 was a South African poet. Her first volume of poetry was published in 1934. In 1943, she became the first Afrikaans woman to win the Hertzog Prize, the most prestigious award in Afrikaans literature. This volume, featuring verse in Afrikaans, is bound in illustrated brown cloth. It is one of a thousand first edition copies.
