JENNINGS, E. Owen. Untitled rural scene with mill. 1967. 11 x 9 cm. Original woodcut with artist's initials in pencil to bottom right. E. Owen Jennings (1899-1985) was a successful artist, winning several prizes for his landscapes, as well as a respected art teacher. This scene, depicting small houses with a mill and dark hills in the background, may well be drawn from his home county of Yorkshire, which remained an inspiration throughout his career.
