Frank Lloyd Wright was a leading architect of the early Twentieth Century and is best known for his design of the Guggenheim Museum in New York. He was very prolific, and designed some 800 buildings, of which 380 were actually built with many still standing. He popularized the Prairie School style of house design, and became famous as the creator of organic architecture, a concept he developed to indicate buildings that harmonize both with their inhabitants and their environment.
