Offered for sale is a first-edition hardcover copy of Zemke's Wolf Pack, signed and personally inscribed by Colonel Hub Zemke, legendary commander of the U.S. Army Air Forces' 56th Fighter Group, the famous "Wolf Pack," during World War II. This is a particularly interesting collector's copy because the inscription is personalized to James Kline and includes references to Zemke's 56th Fighter Group and the 8th Air Force. The book is accompanied by an original 1990 Virginia Bader Fine Arts West Grand Opening invitation from Costa Mesa, California. The invitation specifically lists: Colonel Hub Zemke — 56th Fighter Group USAF Ret. among the event's honored guests. The invitation also lists other distinguished WWII veterans, including Colonel Bud Mahurin, along with other Battle of Midway and RAF/Eagle Squadron veterans. The book includes the original dust jacket. The inscription appears to read: “To James Kline Here’s to living and a long one! Hub Zemke 56th F.G.
