RUNAWAY GIRL [caption title]. A notice printed under the auspices of the Contra Costa County Sheriff, raising awareness of a teenage runaway in the Bay Area. It reads: "Rosie Davi, of Italian descent, ran away from her home at Pittsburg, Contra Costa County, California, March 20th, 1916. She is described as follows: Age 16 years, height about 5 ft., 2 inches, weighs about 125 pounds, dark complexion, black eyes, and stocky build. When last seen she was wearing either black or white stockings, black pumps, dark blue dress, trimmed white buttons, blue coat made of serge with a short belt and black velvet collar, and small black velvet hat. Any information leading to her whereabouts will be greatly appreciated, and should be addressed to me or Constable McDermott at Pittsburg." Signed and dated in type, "R.R. Veale, Sheriff, Contra Costa County, Martinez, Calif., Telephone Martinez 81. Dated: Martinez Calif., March 30th, 1916."
