Sir George Adam Smith's Works on the Prophets: The Book Of Isaiah Volume 1 + Volume 2 Revised Editions, Hardcover. Two Vintage Bible Commentaries in still readable condition published by Harper Brothers between 1930-40. I judge these to both be in Acceptable Shape, some might say Good but I grade conservatively. They are ex-Church library copies with sign out cards in pockets on the back cover. (See Photo #23). There is NO Underlining or Highlighting, and NO Pages Missing or Rips. There are some Church ownership stamps here and there.There is an owners name written on the Flyleaf. Volume 1 has a Spine Split at the Title Page but the spine is still intact, the book is still readable (See Photo #11). Volume 2 has a 1 inch spine tearing at the top of the title page, and the rest of that spine is close to splitting, but it's still a readable book (See Photo #12). There is a coffee-like stain at the bottom of Volume 1. There is edge dirtying at the outside bottom corner (Photo #6-8). The side edges are rough-hewn published, not smooth. Mild general age-wear elsewhere. There is page yellowing. Volume 1's cover was published in a lighter shade of blue than Volume 2. All in all, these Classic and Insightful Books are still quite readable, ready for study, teaching and preaching.
