Published May, 1917." with no later printing notations.In Acceptable condition, no dust jacket. Dark blue cloth-covered boards lettered in gilt to the front and spine in a decorative blackletter type. Color loss with chipping and fraying to the cloth at the bottom corner of the front cover. Moderate overall shelf wear and rubbing across both boards, with rubbing to the lettering and some loss of the gilt on the front. Moderate scuffing and soiling to the cloth, particularly on the back board. Spine binding cracked in several places, most noticeably along the heavier illustrated plates, but the text block remains intact. Pages toned overall with occasional light spotting. Otherwise unmarked.
