Very nice condition 1980 pressing of this book. This is an abridged edition of The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, translated by Swami Nikhilananda and published by the Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Center in New York. The original text was recorded in Bengali by a devotee named Mahendranath Gupta, who used the pen name "M.” It shares the teachings, conversations, and spiritual life of the 19th-century Indian mystic Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. The cover features a famous endorsement by Mahatma Gandhi about Ramakrishna's life showing religion in practice.
