Shirley Jackson paperback lot includes: The Lottery 1949 Popular Library Edition The Road Through The Wall 1950 Lion Edition As pictured both books are from a bygone time and pack an absolute gut punch! I’m a huge Shirley Jackson fan and love these books. I got them both from collectors and they are unread by me. The Lottery is in very good condition with a crisp spine. The corners are shape and it appears to be unread. As pictured there is wear on the top and bottom of the spine. The pages are clean. The cover is nice and bright. The Road Through The Wall is in acceptable condition with the cover attached but missing a portion at the top left of the cover. Rest of the covers are worn. The insides have stamps from about 7 different stores this book was sold at. It has some history and I thought it was fun to see its journey from Oregon through the Dakotas, Canada, and into Louisiana. The cover is really striking and made a great conversation piece on my bookshelf. Everyone would always notice it and sparked lots of talk. Shirley Jackson can tell a story! Both books are chilling and create vibes. Hope they find the right new home. I hate to part, but keeping my old Penguin paperbacks that I first discovered these stories and hope to sell off some books and do some traveling! Ships bubble wrapped in a padded box by Media Mail. I combine shipping, just ask!
