Deluxe collector’s edition featuring Tolkien’s retelling of the great Norse legends of Sigurd, Brynhild and Gudrún. Quarter-bound in brown with gray boards and gold-stamped decoration, including the distinctive motif of Sigurd’s horse Grani. Includes a facsimile page from Tolkien’s original manuscript, premium paper, ribbon marker, and the original matching publisher’s slipcase. A handsome volume from the matching HarperCollins Tolkien Deluxe Edition series and an excellent addition to a Tolkien collection. Condition Very Good overall. The book itself is Near Fine, with clean, attractive boards and strong gilt decoration. The slipcase has a noticeable circular pressure/scuff mark near the lower portion, along with light edge/corner wear visible in the photographs. Structurally sound and still displays very well.
