One of the passenger's copies, E.T. Brooks, with his inscription to front free endpaper. This work would have been printed in small numbers to commemorate the voyage of the 'Argonaut' to the Caribbean in 1902-3. They visited the Azores, Nassau, Havana, Port Antonio and Kingston in Jamaica, St. Kitts, Dominica, St. Pierre (Martinique), St. Vincent, St. Lucia, and Trinidad including the cocoa plantations. Rare, with only one institutional copy (New York Library) and not in BL. First edition; oblong 8vo (19 x 26 cm); 140 illustrations, ownership inscription to front free endpaper of one of the passengers, text block starting to come loose; publisher's original cloth with title to upper board, a little rubbed, hinges split, else a very good copy; 74 pp.
