Verse. Inclusive Edition 1885-1918. First British edition, signed limited issue, number 90 of 100 sets numbered and signed by Kipling in each volume. The publisher Frank N. Doubleday famously dubbed this the "Whole Damn Thing" edition, bringing together as it did the full breadth of Kipling's poetry up to the point of publication. This was the first "Inclusive Edition", an idea established between Kipling and Doubleday at Brown's Hotel in February 1919. The "Inclusive Edition" was republished in expanded forms in 1926 and 1932, followed by the "Definitive Edition" (1940) after Kipling's death. The present edition was published in America one month earlier, but without the additional poem "Mowgli's Song".
