No place (UK), [1999]. [Film promotion] An unusual stiff double-sided vinyl banner for the 1999 MGM/United International Pictures film starring Pierce Brosnan as Ian Fleming's James Bond, produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli's EON Productions. Overall dimensions approx. 39 x 24 inches, portrait format, with gold metal rivet corner holes for hanging. Some wear from display/theatre use; brittle vinyl has chipped/deteriorated with age, some tears, 'hazard' chevron tape strip to bottom. Remains presentable A rare banner poster, one side showing a portrait of Denise Richards as Dr.Jones, the other showing a montage of scenes from the film. A concept one-sheet paper poster is shown in the reference book '50 Years of 007 Movie Posters', featuring the same design but with different typography. Intended for outdoor use (hence the reinforced rope holes and waterproof vinyl material), this example shows signs of use but would be ideal for framing as is, or with careful repair. This is the first time we have encountered such a banner. Glassner/Dougall, p.274.
