Publisher's red cloth titled in gilt, in pictorial dust-jacket illustrated by Gino d'Achille, priced at 30s to front flap. Fondly inscribed "For Eileen Cond / With very best / wishes from / her old / friend / Dennis". Signed on a Deer Park (Honiton) bookplate, as usual, together with her discreet library shelf number. Jacket expertly laminated. A fine, fresh copy. Recipient Eileen Cond was well-known as a prominent collector of thrillers, also a correspondent of Dennis Wheatley, Ian Fleming and Berkely Mather, among others, and the first Secretary to the James Bond Fan Club. Later owned by Fleming bibliographer Otto Penzler (sold by Nigel Williams), then part of the Jon Gilbert collection.
