Naturally a picture of Saturn as seen from its sixth moon has to be an "artist's conception" in one sense, since we don't yet have spaceships which could bring the artist to Saturn's sixth moon. If we did, there would still be certain difficulties with the actual painting, since the aforementioned artist would either have to paint through the window of a ship, or sit in a space suit at a temperature of approximately minus 150 degrees Fahrenheit and see what his paints would do at that temperature in an atmosphere consisting mostly of methane gas. But before I explain the special qualities of these paintings and enumerate half a hundred astronomical pictures, I want to answer a question that is probably in the minds of most readers. I know from experience with others as well as from my own reaction that everybody who sees a book with the names of two people on the cover wants to know who did what. Most of the time the collaborators aren't so sure themselves afterwards, but in this particular case there was a natural division of labor which makes it easy to answer the question.
