First-edition, first-printing hardcover exhibition catalog titled Women Artists in Paris, 1850–1900, guest curated by Laurence Madeline and published by Yale University Press in association with the American Federation of Arts. This richly illustrated volume examines the international community of women artists drawn to Paris during the second half of the nineteenth century. It features acclaimed painters such as Mary Cassatt and Berthe Morisot alongside lesser-known artists whose work helped shape the period. The book accompanied the traveling exhibition presented at: Denver Art Museum Speed Art Museum in Louisville Clark Art Institute in Williamstown The volume contains 288 pages and approximately 150 color illustrations, with essays exploring Impressionism, portraiture, the Paris Salon, artistic education and the experiences of Nordic and international women artists.
