Illustrated with photographic plates throughout, this classic account recounts Freeman's adventures running the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, following his earlier books on the Colorado, Yellowstone, and Columbia Rivers. Original navy blue cloth binding with gilt-stamped title and decorative cover device. The front free endpaper carries a period ownership inscription dated December 25, 1924 — a lovely gift inscription from the very year of publication. CONDITION Good. Boards square, spine tight, hinges sound. Text block clean with light age-tanning to the pages. Light shelfwear at corners and spine ends, with light rubbing to the cloth.
