World’s Finest Comics #153 from DC Comics, published in 1965. A particularly collectible Silver Age issue featuring the original Batman slapping Robin panel which later became the famous internet meme. The issue contains the imaginary Superman/Batman story “The Clash of Cape and Cowl”, written by Edmond Hamilton with artwork by Curt Swan. This is a lower-grade but very appealing complete-looking copy. The front cover retains strong colours and presents particularly well for the grade. There is substantial wear along the spine including multiple colour-breaking creases, rubbing, small edge tears and general handling wear. Both staples are still attached but are very loose. There are additional creases and edge wear to the covers, with noticeable wear and a corner tear/crease to the back cover. Interior pages show age-related tanning but the artwork and colours remain attractive. The famous Batman and Robin slap panel is present and shown in the photographs. My personal grade estimate is: G/VG 3.0 - VG- 3.5 This grade is my personal opinion using CGC grading standards as a guide and is not a third-party certified grade.
