Ernest Andrew "Pard" Mustar (1893–1971) was an acclaimed Australian World War I flying ace and pioneer of commercial aviation. Credited with five aerial victories, he later gained fame for conducting early aerial surveys of the Great Barrier Reef and spearheading early air freight operations in New Guinea Mustar enlisted during World War I and was initially assigned to the Australian Light Horse before transferring to the Australian Flying Corps (AFC). Flying in the Middle East, he quickly earned the nickname "Pard" and became a formidable pilot. By the end of the conflict, he had achieved five aerial victories and was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for his exceptional service.
