Schooldays with Kipling by G. C. Beresford - 1ST HCDJ 1936 Published by Victor Gollancz An interesting account of Rudyard Kipling's school days in the seaside village Westward Ho! in Devon, England. He attended the Unites Services College, and Kipling published a collection of short stories, 'Stalky & Co', based on his school days experiences. Rudyard Kipling is best known for his novel 'The Jungle Book', however he was a prolific writer of poems, novels, and short stories. Being born in India inspired much of his work, and he went on to become one of the most popular writers of his time. Kipling became the Lord Rector of St Andrews University in 1922. Illustrated with a frontispiece, and seven plates. Written by George Charles Beresford, who was a photographer, and is well known for his portraits of famous figures such as Virginia Woolf and Lord Alfred Douglas. With a preface by Lionel Dunsterville, a British general who also attended school with Kipling and Beresford. Before posting, I will place the dustjacket in archival quality removable wrap, enhancing the look and feel of the book while protecting the jacket.
