TREATY OF NAVIGATION AND COMMERCE BETWEEN HIS BRITANNICK MAJESTY AND THE MOST CHRISTIAN KING. SIGNED AT VERSAILLES, THE 26TH OF SEPTEMBER, 1786. Printed in parallel columns of French and English. The treaty establishes the basic freedom for both countries to sail unmolested by the other. It also sets duties on a number of items and strongly forbids the docking of pirates or privateers at any port of either country, or in colonies. Of considerable importance for the West Indies.
