Daredevil #16, published by Marvel Comics in May 1966. This is the original UK 10d price variant and a great Silver Age Marvel key featuring a classic Spider-Man and Daredevil cover. A particularly important issue as it features the first appearance of the Masked Marauder and the first published Spider-Man artwork by legendary artist John Romita Sr., shortly before Romita became the regular artist on Amazing Spider-Man. The story "Enter...Spider-Man!" sees the Masked Marauder manipulate Spider-Man into believing Daredevil has turned to crime, resulting in a fantastic early confrontation between the two heroes. Written by Stan Lee with artwork by John Romita Sr. and Frank Giacoia. Characters include Daredevil, Spider-Man, Masked Marauder, Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, Aunt May and J. Jonah Jameson. In my personal opinion, using CGC grading standards as a guide, I would place this copy at approximately 6.0 Fine. The comic has very strong overall eye appeal with bright colours and a particularly attractive front cover. Visible wear includes colour-breaking spine ticks, some rubbing and wear along the spine, light corner and edge wear, general age toning and some minor marks to the back cover. Staples appear secure and I can see no significant tears, missing pieces or cover detachment in the photographs.
