This book belonged to my mother, the pioneering scholar Janel Mueller (née Mulder). Janel graduated as the Valedictorian of the Augustana College Class of 1959, earned her Ph.D. from Harvard, and went on to become the William Rainey Harper Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago. She made history as the university's first female academic dean (Humanities) and was a globally renowned authority on Tudor literature, Queen Elizabeth I, and a 1972 Guggenheim Fellow. As a little girl, she loved Raggedy Ann. This is one of her books, with her maiden name inside: Janel Ann Mulder. I found this book in her library upon her passing, and would now like it to find a home with a real Raggedy Ann lover.
