CHANSONS DE FRANCE POUR LES PETITS ENFANTS illustrated by M. BOUTET DE MONVEL This is a beautifully produced reissue of a classic work that was originally published in 1884. Louis-Maurice Boutet de Monvel lived from 1850-1913. He was a major figure in the "Golden Age" of 19th century children's book illustration. His art captures children's vitality and his use of color is really marvelous! I bought this book new in Paris and it is in very good condition. I take excellent care of my books in my smoke-free environment.
