This is a First Edition, 2 Volume Set of Anglican Bishop of London Mendell Creighton's biography and writings written by his wife, a women's suffragist/suffragette and are well illustrated with numerous, beautiful engravings. The books are in GOOD++ Condition with soiling to the covers with some edge wear and foxing to the interior with owner's name to title page and first few pages of volume I at the top and title page of volume II at the top, some light penciling to several pages, but nothing at all extreme and a few beginning separations between a few signatures, but they are still holding firmly. There are no loose or missing pages and the bindings are still firm and there is a slight musty scent from storage. Beautiful medallions on both front covers.
