RARE as signed by the author, now deceased. His brief Bio and Father Zahm's Bio are below in the Description. Undated, but published in 2009, this paperback is signed and inscribed to the Corby Library at Notre Dame University. It is deaccessioned from their library and has a paper spine label, call letters to the top right of the autographed half title page and a small stamp on the title page (as shown), but no other markings- it is a very nice copy with NO OTHER LIBRARY MARKINGS that I can find. NEAR FINE Condition with only the author's inscription and autograph and the previously mentioned writing with no internal writing, no loose, torn or missing pages and a tight, firm, square binding. The covers lay nearly flat with a slight curl to front cover- mainly from my photographing...and I am carfeful. Overall a very nice copy and the only one signed I can find anywhere. Professor Burrell died last year. The author, David Bakewell Burrell CSC (1 March, 1933 – 1 October, 2023), was a priest of the Congregation of Holy Cross and an American educator, theologian, writer and translator. He was the Theodore Hesburgh Professor emeritus in Philosophy and Theology at University of Notre Dame, US. He wrote around thirteen books on Judeo-Christian and Islamic religions. He knew several languages; he translated two books of Al-Ghazali from Arabic into English.
