The JRR Tolkien Lord of the Rings Ballantine Box Set Authorized Edition is from the 1960/70's and is in the Barbara Remington Art on the slipcase and book covers. Vintage collector's item that includes the 3 The Lord of the Rings books. The listing comes with a bonus book- the Hobbit! 1965 copyright with a 1973 release in the hard to find art set. The Hobbit is release date 1983. Condition: The slipcase has wear, paint wear and rubbed corners but is intact. The books are also read, have some wear of the covers, bent corners etc. Minor water stain on the inside page of Book 1 with an inscription. See photos for condition close ups.
