Signed first printing of the first commercial edition, hardcover copy of Eragon by Christopher Paolini (Alfred A. Knopf, 2003). The first edition made widely available to the public through a traditional publisher (Knopf) after Paolini independently released it a year prior. Flat signed by Paolini on first page. Book one in the young adult fantasy series, The Inheritance Cycle. Mild shelf wear around jacket edges. Boards faintly bowed away from text block at fore edge and with corners slightly bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight. Some small creases around outer edges of text block and one line of text appears to have been but out at page 283. Otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked.
