The wide-ranging speeches cover the Commonwealth, health, and science.Michael Ashley Mann (1924-2011) was ordained in 1957 and held posts in Britain and Nigeria before becoming dean of Windsor (1976-1989), domestic chaplain to the queen, and registrar of the Order of the Garter. "Mann's rapport with the duke of Edinburgh was genuine and mutually enlightening" (ODNB). Letters between the pair were published in 1984 as A Windsor Correspondence. The book was included in the sale of Mann's library at auction in 2023.
