The location was a sci-fi bookstore in Manhattan, run by Steve Takacs, a dedicated and early fan of the genre who was a member of Denvention in 1941.The science fiction editor Floyd C. Gale described this title as "a double dozen of Clarke's best short-shorts, all tricky".
