All of the books in this lot of 10 books are written by Betsy Maestro and beautifully illustrated by her husband Giulio with many full-page illustrations. Three are new and the others are like new with some minor wear noted below. The lot includes 5 of the 6 books of the American Story series (missing the 6th, and hard to find book, A New Nation) as well as 3 companion books to the series and 2 stand alone books. The Discovery of the Americas is a hardcover book with dust jacket. It is the first edition and is signed by both of the Maestros. Condition notes: Three books have a remainder mark on the top or bottom edge (seen when book is closed) The dust jacket of The Discovery of the Americas has a 1/2 inch tear at the bottom of the spine and edge wear. The boards and pages are like new. Liberty or Death is the first Scholastic edition and is slightly smaller in size. The Voice of the People is new but has a bumped corner. The Story of Money is the 1st Mulberry Edition and has '4JH' written at the top of the title page and is otherwise like new.
