The Book of Church Services contains the correct form of prayers and Common Worship to be used throughout the year in the Church of England. 16mo (12 x 18 cm); red morocco bookplate lettered in gilt to front pastedown, a little toned; exemplary Gothic Revival binding by Hayday of onlaid vellum, covers with geometric panel onlaid in red, green, blue, yellow and brown morocco and deocrated in gilt, contrasting onlaid spine compartments, gauffred edges with fore-edge painting of the IHS Christogram inside an ovoid leafy frame, the top and bottom edges with painted scrolls containing the words 'Watch' and 'Prayer', a little soiled, minor wear, very good.
