Bundle of 3 vintage hardback volumes from Winston S. Churchill’s celebrated A History of the English-Speaking Peoples, published by Cassell. Included: Volume I – The Birth of Britain Later Cassell edition, January 1967. Volume II – The New World Later Cassell edition. Volume III – The Age of Revolution 1957 UK First Edition / First Impression – copyright page states “First published 1957” with no later impression listed. An especially attractive group with the original-style illustrated dust jackets. The Volume III jacket is the earlier matt/uncoated format, while Volumes I & II have the later glossy/varnished jackets. These cover British, European and wider English-speaking history from early Britain through exploration, empire, revolution, America and the Napoleonic era. Vintage condition with age-related wear to the dust jackets, including rubbing, small edge tears/creases and some marking. Red cloth boards and interiors appear good overall.
