Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories, Volumes 1 through 6, is I believe a complete set by Arthur S. Maxwell of a vintage collection of Seventh Day Adventist children's story books. Volumes 1 through 5 were published in the 1950s, Volume 6 published in 1962, by Review and Herald. Designed for young children, these hardcover books feature many illustrations. The stories are set in the 1950s era and reflect a children's genre with a focus on illustration. This nostalgic set is a valuable addition to any book collection for fans of Seventh Day Adventist's classic children's literature. Overall the bindings are very secure. There is no writing (except our names on the inside cover), tearing or folding of the pages, except the second book has damage of the first 16 pages (see last three photos) plus some wear on the outside hardcover. Maybe because our mom read that book to us more than the others! Each book is approximately 375 pages and contains about 80 stories per book. Stored in a smoke-free family home for 60 plus years.
