The Man Who Walked Between the Towers Written and Illustrated by Mordicai Gerstein This hardcover book with dust jacket recounts the achievement of Philippe Petit, a French man who walked on a tightrope between the roofs of the twin towers of the World Trade Center in August 1974. It was published by Roaring Brook Press, c. 2003 and earned Gerstein the 2004 Caldecott Medal for the most distinguished American picture book for children. The book is a stated First Edition and First Printing with the correct number line present and no award sticker on the dust jacket.
