This booklet provides detailed information on a week-long pilgrimage to major Shinto shrines undertaken in 1932 and was distributed to one of the participants. The 465 members of the tour were drawn from local volunteer associations in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture. Although described as a commemorative tour celebrating Japanese victories in the Sino-Japanese Incident, it was in fact the seventeenth pilgrimage of this kind. The group assembled at Meiji Shrine on 20 May 1932 before departing on a carefully organised itinerary that took them from Tokyo to Ise, Nara, Kyoto and Nagoya, returning to Tokyo one week later. The participants were divided into smaller groups, each under the supervision of a group leader.
