The Theory of Psychoanalysis. First edition in English of the monograph in which Jung reassesses the scope and application of Freud's analytical premises. It was first delivered as a course of ten extension lectures at Fordham University in 1912 and issued in parts in the Psychoanalytic Review between 1913 and 1915. It was part of a push by European psychoanalysts in the early 20th century to legitimize their practice in the English-speaking world.The lectures were translated from the German for the lecture course by Maria Moltzer and Edith and Montague Eder.
