11 x 14". c. 1910-1920s. "Show Card Writing and How to Learn It" 32 pages, 100 Lessons. Published by the Litholia Color Co. of NY as part of a correspondence school to teach advertising show card writing. Cyan printed art nouveau cover w/ beautiful exotic woman, flowers and period styling. Cover seems to function as a potential blotter. Contains pages 1-32, bound in split ring binding, of which one fastener is missing. Period ink marks ownership to "John E". Obviously used, some yellow paint within pages as well as stray marks, waterstains, ink stains and expected wear, but overall a treasure of typography, period graphics, fonts, sign painting skills and the lost art of lettering. Wondrous!
