Warm association copy, inscribed to McClure's long-time friend and Oyez Press publisher Robert Hawley, who designed the chapbook for McClure's long poetic manifesto Poisoned Wheat 1965 . They distributed the chapbook directly to readers whom they felt might have some influence on U.S. policy in Southeast Asia. Together, the two men mailed 600 copies of the poem cf. Encyclopedia
