This is a rare find. Division 11, Volume 3, "Fire Warfare" is part of a 70-volume set, "Summary Technical Report of the National Defense Research Committee," published in 1946 to document research and development efforts of the United States military during World War II. Originally classified as either "Confidential" under the 1917 Espionage Act, this and all other volumes in the set were declassified in the 1950's and 1960's. Topics in this volume include development of incendiary bombs, mechanized and portable flamethrowers, incendiary fuels, and more. This is a hardcover in generally good condition, from the estate of a former US Navy physicist.
