This is an especially appealing collection because it provides an uninterrupted 41-year look at Southern Living Christmas traditions, recipes, entertaining, decorating, crafts and holiday style. PUBLISHING HISTORY: Most of this long-running series was published under Oxmoor House. The final two volumes in this collection, 2020 and 2021, reflect the series' transition away from Oxmoor House following its closure. The 2020 volume carries Southern Living Books branding, while the 2021 edition was published by Abrams. This accounts for the noticeable change in spine design and publisher branding at the end of the otherwise continuous series. The early books offer wonderful period Christmas photography, recipes and decorating ideas, while the later volumes show how Southern holiday cooking, entertaining and design evolved over four decades.
