As usual, Schiffer deliver an absolutely outstanding book, this time from prolific and respected author Jochen Prien. Relatively hard to find and can command high prices. This third and final part of the narrative starts with the bitter fighting over Italy, where the Geschwaderstab together with I. and III./JG 53 had to face overwhelming odds in their struggle over both the front lines at Cassino and Anzio/Nettuno bridgehead. Like the previous two volumes in this series, the emphasis is on excellently researched information, supplemented by dozens of photos, diagrams, tables and maps. Luftwaffe fans will love this book, as will military historians in general. This is an English translation of the original German work.
