The author travelled from Damascus across the Hauran, through the ruins at Shahba, Qanawat, and Busra to the Jabal al-Druze mountains, and on to Jerash before crossing the plains to Jericho and the Wadi Kelt before Jerusalem. Contains information on the Druze people and ways of life in the Jabal al-Druze and plains of Jericho, including accounts of the local Sheikhs and disrupts between neighbouring Bedouin tribes.
