This second edition published shortly after the first (1938). There were two versions of this edition published; a) to club members with club insignia and the word "Clubausgabe" on title page and b) copies to the general public without insignia etc. present. This volume is the first version. Austria is also included in this volume. Germany had gained the Sudetenland, invaded and annexed what she named the " Proctectorate of Bohemia and Moravia " and finally regained the Memel territory from Lithuania and all these areas are included in this volume. The endpapers on this copy are dated Mai 1939, just before the outbreak of World War II. Endpapers dated "Mai 1939". Second edition. xxx, 813pp, 70 town plans, with clubausgabe on title-page; publisher's variant coarse-grained binding, original pictorial dust jacket with clubausgabe printed on upper wrapper, slight worn at edges; overall a very good copy.
