The original blind-stamped plum cloth binding is secure and holding firm, though it exhibits notable sun-fading and discoloration, most prominently to the spine and rear board. There is typical rubbing and shelf-wear to the extremities, with the spine largely faded, though the gilt title stamping on the front board remains clear. Internally, the text block is bright and highly legible with only very faint spotting. The hinges are sound, and the original endpapers display mild offsetting and age-toning adjacent to the bookplates.
