Condition Report: Near Fine. The volume presents exceptionally well, housed in a custom clear acetate sleeve that has preserved the dark blue cloth boards from standard shelf-wear. The binding remains remarkably tight and square, opening with the crispness of an unread volume. To the front board and spine, the gilt titling and intricate pictorial tooling, depicting a sailing galleon alongside an early printing press, remain strikingly bright and entirely unoxidised. The text block edges are clean and well-kept, with the top edge lightly trimmed and the fore-edge neat. Internally, the leaves are exceptionally bright, clean, and free from foxing, offsetting, or previous ownership markings, with the photographic frontispiece portrait remaining pristine.
