Bound in quarter green leather over marbled boards, the exterior presents charmingly despite expected wear to the extremities, with the corners bumped and the underlying board exposed, alongside minor rubbing to the spine ends. The gilt ruling and title to the spine remain bright and legible. Internally, the binding remains square and firmly attached. The pages are lightly toned with scattered foxing, while the engraved frontispiece exhibits slight offset browning but retains a sharp impression. An altogether pleasing, sturdy copy of a fragile and scarce survival.
